Bat Storm
Bat Storm is just another of the succesful animations TET creates at Go!Animate. But before we talk about Bat Storm, let's talk a bit about TET himself, shall we?
TET is an pseudonym for The Extraordinary Tourist, a fictional character created by Australian artist David Arandale. Among a lot of other things, TET creates some of the best animations in Go!Animate, where he uses the name etourist.
As a member of Go!Animate TET has proved to be a very helpful and supporting user. He is very often commenting and giving advice to other novel users, or offering his clever and thought provoking insights in the forums.
But, in addition to helping others, both by commenting and pointing out ways to improve animations, or simply by giving support, he has made some of the best Help Videos in Go!Animate. They are the ones I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn a little more about making better animations at the site.
Not only his Help Videos are outstanding, but all the rest of his animations are simply delightful. He has created many of the best animations in the site. No wonder he is only second to Alvin (the Go!Animate founder) in number of fans.
Bat Storm is one of his latest - at the time of writing this - series, and a very succesful one. It features the adventures - or should I say misadventures - of a superhero called precisely Bat Storm, and his daughter Bat Flash. Neither of them seem to have real super-powers, and they are really in need of some money to keep on doing what they are born to do: be a superhero.
Although it is a comedy, there are some bittersweet moments for the couple, usually when they are confronted by real superheroes: Super Charge and Charge Girl (they both have superpowers, in the Superman/Supergirl fashion). Even though everything is done to perfection in etourist's animations, he claims he's doing the scripts to this series 'on the go'. Let me tell you this. they are awesome. Every detail is worthy checking.
According to David's blog, he is aiming at six episodes, 24 minutes each. Obviously, for Go!Animate he has to break down each episode in different parts. So, if he manages to do that, we are talking of about 18 or 20 Go!Animate animations. That would be great news for his fans! In the meantime, let's enjoy what he has published so far:
